Lauren and Simon met online, using the Bumble app in the summer of 2023. Their first date was a match made in heaven: a head to head basketball game! For those of you who know Simon and Lauren you know that this was a perfect first date. Rumor has it that Lauren won their first game against each other, but unfortunately has not won a game since. They officially started dating on an autumn afternoon in the windy city while attending a Cubs game, laying the foundation for how their bond would grow and strengthen -- their individual love for sports becoming one.

When they are together they can most often be found attending or watching their favorite team's games, refereeing youth sports, or competing either against or with each other in various sports. They are both outdoorsy people, enjoying warm weekends out in the sun and staying busy always having something planned out.

After more than two years of companionship, Simon proposed in September 2025 at the Indiana Dunes of Beverly Shores. They are both extremely excited to begin their next chapter of life together as husband and wife!
